Property Description
The Charming History needs to be Preserved, and you can help make that happen.
House is being Sold As-is, Mr. Kinsky just moved out after the passing of his Wife and Son.
He has shared a copy from a Worcester 1976 Book which has the History of the Property on Pages 459-460.
The Kinsky Property Is Located on the southern side of Fisher Rd, Midway between Valley Forge and Wentz Church Roads. The one and half acre lot dwelling and Garage rest on a level remnant of the Pleas Grant of Peter Wentz Sr. Holdings.
This was part of the portion that Abraham Wentz Received in 1745 as a result of his fathers will. The History of the property is identical to the neighboring Zelmes Parcel, south of it, until 1851when it was subdivided from the more than 126-acre homestead.
Rev. David S. Kriebel died intestate in 1848. His eldest son Jacob conveyed the family farm to brother Adam. In 1849, Adam Kriebel who detached the Kinsky portion in 1851 and sold approx. 35 acres to Andrew Henning.
Adam Schultz Kriebel (1823-1895) was the son of Rev. David and Sarah Kriebel. In 1850, he married Mary Heebner Cassel. The Newlyweds conveyed portions of the family farmstead and then moved to the present Mass property on Valley Forge Rd.
Shortly after Henning purchased the acreage, he erected a two and half story brick dwelling. He died in his own home, intestate and left a widow, Susan and two children, Frederick and John.
The small farm was conveyed to Frederick with provisions for his mother to continue to live in the 4 rooms at the northern end of the house for the remainder of her lifetime. John and his wife, Catherine Frederick Henning, became the next owners of the property to the end of the 19th century. They conveyed the farm to their son-in-law, Milton R. Reiff in 1908. The Reiff's lived here for a number of years before the next transfer when the farm left the Henning Family after almost 80 years.
In 1939, The community Building Association of Ambler sold the parcel to Roy and Viola Ludwig. The Ludwigs lived here for 5 years before they conveyed it to William and Lottie Fritz. The Fritz family did not maintain ownership more than a year when they sold it to David and Alice Graham in 1945. The Grahams owned the farm for 4 years when they conveyed it to Harry and Mary Lawton. It was the Lawnton family who detached the 1.506-acre portion which included the Dwelling and garage to be sold to the Kinsky family.
You can continue this history and be the next owners. This property is located in Worcester Township and Methacton School District. Both The House and Large Garage need work, you should have a vision to be able to see the potential.
The Well Pump Tank has been replaced and has a 1-year warranty on it.
If you are not afraid of work, you can expose the 173 yr. old stonework under the siding. Deep Windowsills, Low Ceilings Indicative of a house of this History and Age.
